Construction on Karvajar Cultural Center Begins!

Good News!
Construction work has started at Karvajar's Children & Youth Cultural Center in New Shahumyan-Artsakh. Preliminary work has started at the roof of this 300 seat auditorium and the ceiling. 
Thank you all for your support and partnership in this noble cause. Together, we are creating jobs for local workers of Karvajar and creating a bright future for the talented children of this town in Artsakh. 
However, our work is not yet finished. More funds are still needed to remodel the entire building. You are invited to a very informative lecture series titled "Ararat Phoenix Rising-Reawakening of the Armenian Identity" by Mher Koubelian.  Our event will be held in 4 different cities throughout California from August 25-September 1, 2017.

 

Throughout millennia, Armenia has been born and reborn, struck down only to rise again from ashes. This historic survival could be explained by divine providence and a unique national identity. This presentation seeks to awaken hearts and empower them to take their rightful place, by first exploring Armenia's God given calling through many key elements from mythology, history, linguistics, genetics, culture and etc.

Exhibition of  Rediscovered Masters

All proceeds go to Ararat Foundation's project "Project Artsakh: Rebuild Karvajar's Cultural Center".

Map of Salvation

Ten Southern California Civic Organizations have joined hands with The Producer of this ground-breaking film to present in the Los Angeles World Premiere of Map of Salvation on Sunday March 5, 2017 at 4 pm (in English) and at again at 7 p.m. (in Armenian) at Paramount Pictures Studios Theater in Hollywood.

 

Map of Salvation features the inspiring and empowering lives of 27 year-old Dane Karen Jeppe, 24 years-old Estonian Anna Hedvig Buhl, 33-year-old Norwegian Bodil Katharine Biorn,  25-year-old Dane Maria Jacobsen and 21 year-old Swede Alma Johansson. They, at the turn of the 20th century, in early 1900’s, left the comfort of their homes and families in various parts of Europe and headed toward unknown horizons in order to look after children in Western Armenia (Ottoman Empire).

We collaborated with Stephanie's Gallery to present an art exhibit at LA Art Show from January 27 - 31st of this year. We featured works by Jean Jansem, Arthur Pinajian, Jean Carzou, and other great Armenian artists. This unique event drew the participation of many art lovers who greatly enjoyed five days full of beautiful paintings and wine.

Armenian Cultural Event

A Unique Armenian Cultural Event we held on November 1st, 2015 at Armenian Society of Los Angeles in Glendale, CA. With the participation of various Armenian organizations, we had a multitude of art exhibits, showing the beautiful rugs, paintings, stamps, food, and music of Armenia. Those who came enjoyed a wonderful event!
